Our project titled Ecogardening will take place in the Park Hotel Táltos in Felsőtárkány, a close by village to the city of Eger in Heves county. The total of 36 Representatives and 6 leaders will be present from Serbia, Romania and Hungary inthe 10 day event which will focus on informing and teaching the participants via informal teaching methods about the natural and social values of ecological agriculture. They will experience and practice these values through out the event to understand the importance of Ecogardening.
The participating organisations are fully dedicated to the importance of environmental sustainability and emphasise on ensuring that the participants of the project will carry on the knowledge acquired in the course of the project and use it as an every day concept whilst being an activecitizen of the European Union for the next generation.
During the course of the project we will to develop such competence that would further enrich the possibilities and potentials of the youth both on the level of the individual and the level of the community, there fore improving their chances of finding a workplace. In order to achieve these goals we will visit numerous bio – agricultures where we will be able to see in practise, with the help of the producers, the sustainability of a harmonious relationship between humankind and its’ environment. Firstly, all the information and practise provided on these outings will be put in to theory followed by a hands on practise in the Community Garden ran by H-Union Szövetség.
As a summary, the main goal of our project is to empower the youth to be able to become a conscious consumer and to spread this knowledge in the European society, thus creating a more conscious sustainable consumer practice across Europe.
